NEC MultiSync brand turns 25 years old and tops 40 million monitors shipped

February 8, 2011 – NEC Australia, a leading provider of commercial LCD displays, multimedia projectors and innovative digital signage solutions, today celebrated the 25th anniversary of its award-winning MultiSync® monitor brand.
Millions of computer users - from graphic designers to medical technicians, business professionals and financial traders to consumers - have benefited from NEC innovations introduced to the marketplace under the brand. Concurrent to its Silver Anniversary, MultiSync-branded displays have reached another milestone: 40 million units shipped worldwide.
"In 1985, the same year that Microsoft released Windows 1.0 and Intel introduced a 16MHz processor, NEC unveiled a monitor brand that has enriched the computing experience of millions of people around the globe," said Kentaro Seki, General Manager of NEC’s Display Solutions division.
