Overview

Gumala Aboriginal Corporation (Gumala) is one of Australia’s largest Indigenous corporations. Created in 1996 to negotiate the Yandi Land Use Agreement, it was the first major land use agreement to be signed in Australia. Gumala delivers economic, social and community development programs to directly improve the standard of living and quality of life of the Traditional Owners of the iron ore-rich Pilbara lands. It is a 1200-strong member-based organisation with headquarters in Tom Price and an administration office in Perth.
